If you haven't noticed yet, I love Alice in Wonderland. I've been eyeing the Storiarts webshop for a while now, and as the days are getting colder, I decided to splurge on a new scarf. They have all kinds of cool stuff, everything from Austen to Poe. The Raven scarf is also beautiful, but somehow I prefer the book-like look of this one. And did I mention they have writing gloves. Writing gloves, people! Why hasn't anyone invented those before?
Thank you for posting this.
ReplyDeleteI own an Alice wrist watch that I have seen sold once in a small bookstore and once at a music store. It has quotes and pictures on the strap and on the face is Alice and a circle of playing cards moving around every second.
You have been to my blog before. Here is a link:

Having been annoyed at people on the net who didn't like the first Alice movie, I looked at web citizens having poor judgement: Sometimes computers and progress are overrated. I also looked at Alice. And I answered the old riddle, Why is a raven like a writing desk?
Wow, I've been wondering about that one! Great answer. My favourite Alice adaptations are actually America McGees Alice games. Delightfully creepy, and I love the warped take on Wonderland. There was talk of a third game at some point. I hope it happens.
ReplyDeleteAt the comic book store I've seen figurines from that game, but I haven't bought any. I did buy Hatter and Alice from the first movie.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the costumes and character design on the movie, and Time's palace in the second one, very steampunky.
DeleteThere's a gorgeous art book of Alice: Madness Returns that I've been eyeing. The figs are probably really cool, too.
